Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data alpeduzwift.com (“the site”, “we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

This is an independent fan project, not a commercial organisation. We collect as little personal data as we reasonably can, and we never sell it.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this site is Tourney Time Network Ltd. If you have any question about this policy, or you want to exercise any of the rights set out below, contact us at [email protected].

What we collect, and why

1. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited, roughly where in the world visitors are, and whether the calculator is being used. This helps us improve the content and the tool.

GA4 sets a cookie and may process information such as your IP address (used by Google to approximate your location, then discarded), device and browser type, and the pages you view. Analytics runs when you load the site; we show a banner letting you know, and you can opt out at any time — once you do, no further analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent on future visits (see “Cookies and consent” below). We do not use analytics for advertising and we set no advertising cookies.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving how the site is used (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), balanced by a clear opt-out.

2. Site analytics (Vercel Web Analytics)

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited and how the site performs. This is a first-party, cookieless measurement: it does not set cookies, does not store identifiers on your device, and does not track you across other websites. It collects aggregated, anonymous metrics only.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving how the site is used (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Because it is cookieless and does not identify you, it runs regardless of your analytics cookie choice.

3. Email sign-up (MailerLite) — only if you opt in

The calculator offers an optional newsletter sign-up. We only collect your email address if you choose to enter it and confirm your subscription. We use MailerLite to manage the list and send occasional updates and Zwift training tips. Sign-up uses double opt-in: after you submit your address you receive a confirmation email, and you are only added to the list once you click the link in that email.

We may store which page you signed up from and which topics you indicated an interest in, so the emails we send are relevant. We never gate the calculator result behind giving us your email — the result is always shown whether or not you sign up.

Separately, our personalised Execution Plan tool can email you your pacing plan. If you choose to enter your email there, we use GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) to store your contact details and send you the plan and related updates, on the same opt-in basis. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details at any time.

Legal basis: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in the footer of every email, or by emailing us.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense) — once advertising is live

We are not currently running advertising. When we do, we intend to use Google AdSense to display ads on the content pages of the site (not on the calculator itself). At that point, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

For visitors in the UK and EEA, personalised advertising will only be served after you give consent through a Google-certified consent management platform. This policy will be updated with full detail of the advertising cookies and partners before any ads go live, and the consent banner will let you accept or reject advertising cookies separately.

Legal basis: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) and consent for cookie storage under PECR.

The calculator itself

The weight and power figures you enter into the calculator are processed in your browser to work out your estimated time. We do not store those figures against your identity. If you have accepted analytics, an anonymous event recording that a calculation was completed (and the resulting w/kg and time band) may be sent to GA4 to help us understand how the tool is used — but this is not linked to you personally.

Cookies and consent

When you visit, an analytics cookie is set so we can measure how the site is used, and you are shown a banner telling you so. You can opt out at any time using the banner — if you do, we stop setting analytics cookies and sending analytics data on future visits. Your choice is remembered in your browser using local storage so you are not asked again. Advertising cookies are not used (and would only ever be set, in future, with a separate opt-in).

You can also change your mind by clearing the site data in your browser (which brings the banner back), or block or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not stop you using the calculator.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that make the site work, and only as described above:

  • Vercel Inc. — hosting and cookieless site analytics (Vercel Web Analytics).
  • Google LLC — analytics (Google Analytics 4) where you have given consent, and advertising (Google AdSense) once advertising is live and where you have given consent.
  • MailerLite — email list management, only if you opt in to the newsletter.
  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) — managing contacts and emails from the Execution Plan tool, only if you opt in there.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses and applicable adequacy or data-bridge arrangements.

How long we keep your data

Analytics data is retained by Google for the retention period configured in GA4 (by default no longer than 14 months) and is aggregated thereafter. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Cookieless performance metrics are aggregated and not tied to you.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • data portability, where applicable;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent (this does not affect processing that has already taken place).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would, however, appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please consider contacting us before you do.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, when advertising goes live. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
